Shonda Hatch.
For more than 25 years, Shonda Hatch has worked at the intersection of communication, culture, and community, helping organizations understand what resonates with people, builds trust, and inspires action.
Her work has always centered on understanding people, how they connect, what they value, and how stories help move ideas from information to impact.
Long before founding The Parks Collective Agency, Shonda spent decades building trust with audiences across the country as a broadcaster, programmer, educator, and community leader. Her career spanned Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Ohio, where she learned firsthand how messages travel through communities and why some stories create lasting impact.
As a nationally recognized media personality, she spent more than two decades behind the microphone connecting with audiences across multiple markets, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and St. Louis. Through radio, public speaking, community engagement, and strategic communications, she became known for her ability to turn conversation into connection and connection into action.
Her understanding of storytelling deepened in 2015 during her son Boogie's 99-day NICU journey. What began as a personal experience became a powerful lesson in how stories can mobilize communities, inspire generosity, build awareness, and create meaningful support for families navigating difficult circumstances.
Over the years, Shonda has helped lead public health messaging campaigns, supported community engagement initiatives, taught future communicators through Ohio Media School, and developed programs that use storytelling as a tool for literacy, wellness, workforce development, leadership, and social impact.
Her work has included partnerships, campaigns, and initiatives with organizations such as Cincinnati Public Schools, Christ Hospital, the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio Department of Insurance, JPMorgan Chase, Fifth Third Bank, Ford, BET, T-Mobile, and Mercedes-Benz.
Today, she brings those experiences together through The Parks Collective Agency, a storytelling and social impact firm that helps organizations transform ideas into experiences people can feel, remember, and act upon.
Under her leadership, PCA has developed initiatives including Future Story Lab™, Lit + Social™, Sis, How Is Your Heart?™, Let's Go To Work™, Story Lounge™, and The Perfect Story™. Each program is rooted in a simple belief: when people feel seen, heard, and understood, they are more likely to engage, belong, and thrive.
She is also the author of Sis, Check On Your Heart, a real talk wellness guide for women putting themselves back on the list, and The Misadventures of Boogie & Friends children's book series.
Shonda believes stories are more than content. They are how communities build trust, how organizations create connection, and how people discover what is possible.
